Sept 13 - Oct. 4, 2026 Two courses to choose from: 12 - 2 pm or 6:30 - 8:30 pm MST Maternal history and lineage can be rich sources of creative inspiration, yet their reach is not always linear and can often be tangled - a 'mothervine.' This course provides information about experienced ‘real’ and perceived ‘potential’ rewards, risks of, and recommendations for, exploring mothervines in, and through,creative writing. Prompted by creative writing exercises, participants will explore, reflect on, share, and discuss (at their discretion) the richness of mothervines as sources of story and creative inspiration, as well as the practical, ethical and emotional aspects and impact of writing about mothervines. This ninety-minutes weekly course will be discussion and creative writing exercise based. It will also include voluntary sharing of writing produced, and/or reflected on, through the creative writing process.
